The DBWC was established in 2002 and operates under the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry
The mission of DBWC is to proactively encourage busienss and professional women in Dubai to participate in a variety of busienss-related activities in order to increase their contribution to economy, productivity, and enhance their professional role locally and internationally
The goals of the DBWC include:
1) Represent the Council at Arab and International conferences and forums relating to business and professional women
2) Cooperate with local and international institutions to increase awareness about the Council, and share and contribute business ideas among businesswomen and various organizations
3) Find solutions to problems facing women at the workplace and make suggestions and recommendations to solve these problems
4) Help women liaise with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry
