"2009 Emerging Leaders for Democracy Conference Series"

Project on Middle East Democracy

The Project on Middle East Democracy (POMED), the United States Institute of Peace (USIP), Georgetown University’s Center for Democracy and Civil Society, and the Rockefeller Brothers Fund (RBF) announce its annual regional conferences in the Middle East. In 2009, the Center for Strategic Studies at Jordan University, the Lebanese Center for Policy Studies, and the Cairo Institute for Human Rights Studies are joining the partnership in hosting the regional conferences. The conferences will be taking place in Amman, Beirut and Cairo and will be aimed at examining the political reform dynamics in Jordan, Lebanon, and Egypt and the impact of U.S. foreign policy on the region.
