A regional survey, conducted by YouGovSiraj and commissioned by anaZahra.com, revealed that the majority of Arab women not only use the Internet at home, but also belong to social networking sites, use it as a medium for connecting with friends on a daily basis and as a means for reading articles and magazines. The aim of the survey sought to understand how Arab women use the Internet: the types of websites visited, how they access it, how often they access it. The survey concluded that the Internet plays an important role in the lives of Arab women, but that quality Arab content available to them is lacking and uncompetitive. AnaZahra.com looks to meet this growing need with content contributed by dozens of editors from Europe and throughout the Middle East.
