"Forum for the Future and Examples of U.S. Support for Civil Society"

The United States is supporting civil society around the world through its involvement in several initiatives. One of several U.S.-Broader Middle East and North Africa (BMENA) partnerships is the Forum for the Future. This joint civil society initiative is a collaborative effort between the U.S., BMENA countries, and member countries from the Group of Eight (G8) that brings together government, civil society and private sector leaders. The initiative offers participants an opportunity to exchange ideas and form partnerships that encourage progress, reform and expanded opportunities in the MENA region.
