"The "Making It Our Business" (MIOB) program reaches new heights!"

January 2009 - The DBWC has supported the efforts of the MIOB program since its launch in October of 2007 in Dubai. The program has been such a success that has now expanded to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In addition, at the MENA Businesswomen's Network Hub Meeting in Egypt last month, three new Hubs have been trained in the MIOB program. Hub Managers from Egypt, Qatar and Lebanon have now been trained as Master Trainers. These individuals are now mandated to go back to the businesses in their Hubs and educate both women and men on the importance of breast health and early detection. The goal of the "Making It Our Business" program is to raise internal awareness on breast cancer at the workplace. By encouraging employees to be more conscious of their health, businesses will in turn be more successful and prosperous!
