Exceeding the 50-member mark was something AWTAD Hub Manager Heba Ali did not expect so soon. “I joined AWTAD in July last year and got right to work on program development and marketing. As the youngest Hub Manager in the newest Hub, I found the work exciting, challenging and extremely motivating. Right from the beginning, we knew that AWTAD had unlimited opportunities, and it was up to us to take advantage of them. Reaching 50 members in such a short time definitely exceeded our expectations. Yet, I have to say, this just the starting turning point for AWTAD success, and, hopefully, through dedication, diligence and team effort, there will be much more to come.”
For Ms. Ali, a recent graduate of the German University in Cairo with a degree in strategic management and international business, her first job out of school couldn’t have been a better fit. “There are a whole bunch of things that make AWTAD a good place for me,” she explains. “This job unites my two passions – business management and development. Shereen, of course, is also a wonderful and energetic mentor. I just love working in a learning organization, where there’s so much room for creativity and entrepreneurship.”
