Business Intelligence Middle East
As women control approximately 22% of wealth in the Middle East, and are expecting to see a growth of 8% annually through 2014, a majority of women feel wealth managers need to significantly improve their services to women. In a Boston Consulting Group (BCG) paper entitled, Leveling the Playing Field: Upgrading the Wealth Management Experience for Women, women underscore how they are often overlooked or undervalued as wealth management clients. Notably, women globally share similar concerns with regards to wealth managers and their services for and treatment of female clients. The paper also notes that due to certain social, economic and financial insecurities Arab women may face, the ability of a wealth manager to protect the client's financial independence and her rights (in relation to others who may attempt to claim to her wealth), preserve confidentiality and build upon her knowledge of finance is pertinent.
