President of the Business & Professional Women International Federation Liz Benham and Vice President Gabriella Canonica visited Jordan and met with the Board and members of the Jordan Federation of Business & Professional Women.
This visit was part of the work that the International President is doing to support the BPW clubs in the Arab region. The BPWI looks to Jordan Federation as a pioneering entity in developing and implementing new projects that support women in entering the workforce. It also aims to utilize the networks and experience which The Jordan Federation of Business & Professional Women has built since its establishment in the 1970s to promote the establishment of new BPW clubs in the Arab region.
Ms. Inaam Mufti, President of BPW Jordan, Vice President Ms. Meisa Batayneh and Vice President of the BPW-Amman Association Ms. Haifa Najjar, along with the members of the Federation hosted a Power Breakfast for President Benham and VP Canonica to acknowledge the efforts of the major partners; USAID, SABEQ, BDC, MOICT, and Saraya Holding. Members of Associations and boards across the Kingdom were also present.
During their visit, they were introduced to the first fully female operated Call center in Jordan, where they were greeted by a representative from the Zarqa Mayor's office and members of BPW- Zarqa. Ms. Benham said: “I am very impressed with the technical facilities and the location of the center, and salute the forward thinking of BPW- Jordan in using technology to create work opportunities for women.”
In addition, the Jordan Federation of Business & Professional Women is looking forward to establish more call centers in different governorates in the Kingdom.
