"Abu Dhabi set up economic think tank"

In Abu Dhabi, the Department of Economic Development has established an economic think-tank to help provide financial information regarding the emirate’s plans for growth. The undersecretary for the department noted that there is, at present, a large gap in financial research in the emirate. Named Abu Dhabi Economic Research Agency (ADERA), the think-tank will begin research next year and investigate issues areas of sustainable economic growth, financial markets, energy, environment and labor. While the think-tank is currently operating under the economic department, the government plans to make it an independent body in the future.
