The new Bayt.com Jobs Index study conducted along with research specialists YouGov Siraj, expects over half of the region’s employers will be hiring in the next quarter. Reflecting dominate industries, graduates and post-graduates of business management, commerce, engineering and administration are underscored as most likely to be employed. The study highlights a knowledge of Arabic and English, as well as leadership qualities and interpersonal communication skills as desirable traits for potential employees. Looking ahead, the Hiring Expectancy Index (HEI) for the region reveals optimistic figures: 67% of organizations are expecting to hire in the long term; and in particular to the UAE, 30% of organizations there reported they would absolutely be hiring in a year.
