In an interview with INSEAD Knowledge, Fatma Al-Bader, international businesswoman and financier, discusses her passion for entrepreneurship, her background, and her success. From a family comprised of strong women, Al-Bader was quick to compete in a world of men. Educated abroad, achieving several different and predominant positions in the finance sector, Al-Bader eventually became the youngest and only female CEO in the Kuwaiti real estate sector. These successes provided Al-Bader with the tools necessary to take on her own venture, Khatif Holdings. This million dollar firm specializes in small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs), helping entrepreneurs to develop their skills as businessmen and women, while enhancing and advocating Al-Bader’s belief in SMEs’ pertinent role in driving society and the economy.
