On February 25, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and Tunisia signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that sets a framework of mutual engagement and support between the SBA and Ministry of Industry and Technology. The framework will be followed by a plan of action to foster entrepreneurship and the creation of private sector jobs in Tunisia. The SBA will also provide training and financial support to increase the competitiveness of Tunisia’s small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Similar agreements between the SBA and Oman, as well as Bahrain have been signed.
