"BBS Elects New Board Members"

The Bahrain Businesswomen’s Society (BBS) has elected new board members whose tenure will run from 2010 till 2012. The elections were held at the BBS’s General Assembly yesterday.
The new board members include Khairya Abdullah Dashti, Mona Yousif Almoayyed, Afnan Rashid Al Zayani, Shaikha Aisha bint Ali Al Khalifa, Mona Mohsen Al Jaberi, Ahlam Yousif Janahi, Khulood Rashid Al Qattan, Naeema Othman Baluch, Vicky Saad Mouawad, Dr. Lulwa Rashid Al Mutlaq and Ghada Mohammed Al Sayed.
Also elected were Fatima Abdul Jabbar Al Kooheji as first reserve board member and Khulood Mahmood Akbari as second reserve board member.
Mona Almoayyed, president of the BBS, thanked the previous board members for their work and their contributions over the past two years.
Present at the general assembly and overseeing the elections was Mohammed Al Fardan, a representative of the Ministry of Social Affairs. The Election Committee was headed by Fawzia Al Nafer and included Amal Abdul Rahman Al Haiki, Suhair Ali Bukhamas, Fatima Abdul Dalawer, Fathiya Abdul Latif Albastaki and Fawzia Abdulhussain Murad as members. In addition to the holding of the Board elections, the society’s annual financial report and activity report were also discussed during the General Assembly meeting.
