MANAMA: Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of His Majesty King Hamad and the Supreme Council for Women chairperson yesterday patronised the opening of the Bahrain Business Women Society's (BBS) Special Forum, marking the 10th anniversary of its establishment.
BBS president Mona Almoayyed praised HRH Princess Sabeeka's patronage of the event, held at the Bahrain Chamber for Commerce and Industry (BCCI) headquarters, and her moral and material support for BBS during the past decade.
She also briefed the participants on the society's goals and activities aiming to boost the economic role of Bahraini women and help them hold decision-making positions as well as raise their awareness towards the importance the Internet and information and communication (ICT) technological developments.

Jordanian Social Development Minister Hala Bsisu praised Bahrain's pioneering role in promoting the values of justice, competitiveness, hailing the Bahraini women's pioneering educational, political and voluntary work strides.
Lebanese Parliament speaker's wife Randa Berri congratulated Bahraini businesswomen on the BBS's 10th anniversary, calling upon Bahraini women to avail of ICT as a means to boost their accomplishments.
A documentary on the Women Portal project was also shown. It reviewed the services the portal offers in order to activate women empowering establishments.
