Advocacy

Advocacy is at the core of the MENA Businesswomen’s Network’s commitment to expand the number of women in business, to increase the value of their businesses, to advance the role of women in society, and to promote a regional culture of women's entrepreneurship. As members of the MENA Businesswomen’s Network, each Hub launches an advocacy campaign targeting an issue of importance to their membership. Some Hubs work to change laws and regulations affecting women in business, such as laws governing SMEs, the family law, and laws prohibiting home-based businesses. Others work to include women on committees charged with making decisions that affect economic policies and legislation in their country. Hubs also address social and health issues, such as family violence and breast cancer awareness. Whatever the issue, Network Hubs are successfully leading positive change in their countries.
